I checked the prices of the Globe iphone 3gs package on http://site.globe.com.ph/web/guest/iphone-price-updates?sid=9qa0pnsse6jbf1246732391231 and noticed that the prices listed are pretty reasonable. Because a 32GB 3GS open line is in HK and it comes out PHP 50,000 (so you still save at least 5K). In addition I have a globe line as we speak, so I wouldn’t really mind availing a closed line 32GB iphone.

@boooo!tskkk:/ yeah, I also saw the iPhone 3GS prices in the Apple Store.
Guys, what’s the difference of the iPhones here in the Philippines and the iPhones in the US? How come it’s so expensive compared to the prices as listed in the Apple Store? May I know the reason? I’m considering of buying one also, but I saw the prices in the Apple Store and it’s waaaay cheaper. And now, I want sna to order abroad since it’s cheaper, but I don’t know the difference. Please help me

September 15, 2009 - 2:37 pm
iphone 3gs sa us is tied-up with AT&T, you have to be qualified to get those $299 contract for the iphone…pg hindi ka qualified i think you have to pay $500 or more for the 32GB…google it…mahal talaga retail ng open line iphone 3gs.
as for the pricing above mentioned by the poster, both are 16GB yet magkaiba ng price?? anu ‘to???
nakita ko na ung ganitong post sa ibang blog eh…parehas pricing…parehas 16GB..anu yan parehas mali???

Is it possible to purchase the iPhone 3gs from the US Apple Store without the contract? And ready to use na dito sa Phil? Or kailangan sa ibang online shopping sites?

To FaithSensei, I had the same gripes. But then, US iPhone 3GSs are locked to AT&T like the ones here are locked to Globe. Oh! Where’s our freedom to choose?
And by the way, what’s with the “no stock” of Globe. Come on! It’s been months!!!

Sigh, I wish I was rich- so that I can buy that in no time but come to think of it, if I own one then I’ll definitely be a holdaper’s target so I would WAIT haha!
