T-Mobile G1 launched as the Google Phone

Dubbed as the HTC Dream, T-Mobile today launched the G1. We have a video clip here:

Subscribers need to have a GMail account and Data Plan. There’s a 3.1 megapixel camera, with storage up to 8Gb via microSD. Touch screen capable as well as a full qwerty keypad that slides out from the back. Of course, since this is a Google phone, it’s powered by Android and will have tons of Google products pre-installed.

The phone will cost $179 with a 2 year contract on T-Mobile. No idea when it will be available globally or hit the Philippines.
